In the 1960s, Disney quietly assembled a massive tract of land, including multiple lakes, that would later form its resort in Florida. This series, a Bandcamp Exclusive, explores how Disney tried to lure beachgoers to its central Florida resort, by creating a massive manmade lagoon with pristine beaches, constructing a (rarely-working) wavemaker to pump out surfable waves, and even buying land on the coast in 1971 for a set of secret beachside hotels
